The Wallabies might not be coming to Newcastle this year, but world-class international Test match rugby is still heading to McDonald Jones Stadium.

Japan host Ireland in a historic Test match on Saturday 11 July at 8pm as part of the brand-new Nations Championship series.

It will be the first neutral Test played in Australia since 2021 and brings international rugby back to Newcastle after a huge turnout for the Wallabies’ thrilling win over Fiji last year.

The Wallabies v France match earlier that evening will be live streamed across the stadium, allowing fans to arrive early and make a full night of it.
